Description

This unique event combines a Food Distribution event with a Stadium Event. On Thursday, December 27, Lift Up America will partner with Tyson Foods and The Independence Bowl to help fight hunger in the Shreveport area. Approximately 100 college football players from the University of Alabama and University of Colorado are expected to help distribute over 30,000 pounds of chicken to local area agencies.

Then, three days later, through our partnership with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, 250 tickets will be donated to at-risk kids and their mentors who will attend the game as guests of The Independence Bowl.

Lift Up America

Lift Up America is a non-profit humanitarian aid organization connecting those with assets and serving hearts with the real needs of children from less fortunate families. Lift Up America unites powerhouse corporations, professional sports teams, the entertainment industry, and grassroots agencies to provide compassionate aid at unique events in cities across the U.S. The sports and entertainment events honor the less fortunate who receive food and other basic needs as well as hope for their future.
