Lives Touched

Greetings from Lift Up America!

On September 25, more than 1,200 inner-city children, and those with special needs tasted all the glamour of Hollywood.

If you attend one of our movie premiere events you will see hundreds of lives being touched. Here are just some of the many responses to our Hollywood premiere.

From Andrew Wolfberg, Attorney at Law, volunteer for Jewish Big Brothers/Big Sisters:

"My 'little brother' and his mother have had a difficult past few months especially after he was diagnosed with Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T). I have never seen him smile as much as I did at your event. He especially enjoyed his ride in a huge green [Interstate Battery] limousine."

From Yvette Johnson, Board of Directors, Behavioral Health Services:

"Your staff were so very helpful and made sure every one had a good time. All of our kids were interviewed, and felt like stars. They will never forget this outing. Please, we would like to work with you on other projects."

From Scott Anderson:

"I went with my little Brother through the 'Catholic Big Brothers' program and we really had a great time. By being treated so specially, my little brother's self esteem soared. He was so proud of himself that people were calling to him and wanting his autograph and showing him so much attention. He usually tries to hide in the background and blend in, but he shined that night. It was truly special and I know that it is something that he will remember for the rest of his life."

From Mike Herman, Here's Lift Inner City:

"Thank you all for what you did last night! I think it was amazing to watch those kids faces! I was talking to a 10 yr. old boy from the Bresee Youth Center and he said, 'This was the best night of my life!'"

Three sets of mothers and daughters received complete make-overs courtesy of Hollywood & Highland Center.

The Hollywood premiere brought hope to children in need.

This Hollywood premiere of Meet Me in Miami featured the movie's star, Carlos Ponce, who welcomed these Honored Guests.
