A Game to Remember
 |
Normally the Minnesota Twins run these bases, but on June 12, hundreds of less fortunate kids will have that thrill as part of the LUA stadium event in the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis. |
For many less fortunate children, it's a place they never thought they'd be - on the field of their favorite sports team.
On June 12, in Minneapolis, more than one thousand children will receive an experience they will never forget.
Our second stadium event will be hosted by The Minnesota Twins at the Metrodome. Our LUA MVPs, as we call these young fans, will arrive at the stadium and receive their own party full of fun and games. Then before the baseball game, they'll have the thrill of running the bases to the cheers of the crowd. From the stands they'll then root the Twins on to victory and relish a complimentary hot dog and drink.
A mother at our last stadium event put it this way, "If LUA did not exist, my children and I would probably have never experienced the fun, joy, and excitement that we experienced. I can not say thank you enough for your kindness to our family and the many other families that had to have been touched as well." - Lisa Johnson. We believe that these special experiences can give a child the hope that their dreams can come true. We are grateful to all our staff, partners, and sponsors who, together, really are helping lift up America.

The Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is the site of LUA's second stadium event. The Metrodome's 580,000-pound fabric roof uses up to twenty 90 horsepower fans, blowing 250,000 cubic feet of air pressure per minute, to remain inflated. It is the home of the Minnesota Twins baseball team, the Minnesota Vikings football team, and numerous special events including one very special event where hundreds of less fortunate children will certainly have a day to remember.
