San Diego Chargers Food Distribution
Greetings from Lift Up America!
 |
| San Diego Charger tight end, Scott Chandler, made a new friend at the Lift Up America food distribution. |
Qualcomm Stadium, CA -- November 13, 2007 --
In light of the recent fire-storms, Tyson Foods doubled their gift of protein to the less fortunate in the San Diego area. "We are humbled by being able to provide relief when disaster strikes," said Luis Guittierrez, Regional Customer Development Manager with Tyson Foods. "I know a lot of companies have stepped up to assist here in the San Diego area."
The over 60,000 pounds of protein allowed more than 60 charitable agencies to not only address on-going needs but to also help those affected by the fires. “It makes an incredible difference. It’s gonna feed my family. It’s gonna feed my extended family. It’s going to give us all a great Thanksgiving,” said Lora Galloway, who was one of over 250 people who gratefully received protein and bags of fresh produce.
