Lifting Up Mexico

Our first international event took place on February 12 in Mexico City. Jose Rivera, of Energy Savings Solutions, greets some of the eighteen-hundred children who walked the red carpet, received free gifts, and saw the Meet Me in Miami movie.

In a word, it was ENORME (huge)!

The children were the stars of our Meet Me in Miami premiere in Mexico City. They had the thrill of walking the red carpet, experiencing the media crush, and being cheered on all sides. Lift Up America's Giving Hope Tour aims at creatively meeting both the physical and emotional needs of our honored guests, and we had the privilege of lifting up over 1800 of them, many with special needs.

We hope this experience made a huge difference and judging by the enorme smiles on their faces, it did!

Over the next few Spotlights we will tell you more about this exciting event.

The Cinemark 12 - Centro Nacional De La Artes, Mexico City: All 12 theaters were packed for the Mexican premiere of Meet Me in Miami. Free popcorn made it even more delicious!

American and Mexican business leaders, such as Andrew Szabo (on left), cheered and warmly welcomed the children and families who walked the red carpet. It's amazing what a smile and a hug can do for both the receiver and the giver!

Eric Hannah, the director of Meet Me in Miami, shares a laugh with one of the 1800 young people who attended the premiere. Some had never seen a movie before.
