Ambassadors of Compassion Training - April 17, 2010

On Saturday, April 17, Lift Up America launched its first Ambassadors of Compassion training which was held at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. An Ambassador of Compassion is someone who shares their L.I.F.E. (labor, influence, forgiveness and experiences) to help ease the suffering of others and helps to lift up their own community. The event began at 9:30 a.m. and was by invitation only.

Arizona Hunger Campaign - Kickoff on May 6, 2010

On May 6, Lift Up America helped launch the Arizona Hunger Campaign, a one-year effort to help alleviate hunger in the greater Phoenix area. Along with partners Jerry Colangelo, the Arizona Broadcasters Association, local food banks, area churches and businesses, and the public, the campaign hopes to raise five million pounds of food to help the 1 in 5 children in Arizona who are struggling with hunger.

Ambassadors of Compassion Honor Event

On Saturday, October 30, UCLA hosted Lift Up America's first Ambassadors of Compassion Honor Event at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. All Ambassadors of Compassion who had completed their Level 1 training were honored at a special tailgate party and diploma presentation, followed by reserved seating at UCLA's homecoming game with the University of Arizona.

Trini Lopez Celebrity Golf Invitational - Palm Springs

On Friday and Saturday, November 26 and 27, Lift Up America helped sponsor the annual Trini Lopez Palm Springs Celebrity Golf Invitational. Proceeds from the event went to the Inland Empire chapter of Lift Up America to help provide food for those in need. On Monday, November 21, Lift Up America, in partnership with Tyson Foods, distributed 30,500 pounds of chicken through the FIND (Food in Need of Distribution) Food Bank in nearby Indio.
